I've been going back and forth between two Denis Wick Heritage mouthpieces in my 72H. The 1AL and the 0AL. My tuning slide is pulled my normal distance with the smaller 1AL. When I put in the 0AL I have to push the tuning slide almost all the way in to get up to pitch.
Is this caused by the mouthpiece or me? Is it normal.

Re: Mouthpiece size and tuning
Deeper cup=more length added=tuning slide pushed in farther.

Also: larger rim plus weakish embouchure yields flatter intonation. If you persist in playing the 0AL the pitch may come up.
