Greg Black question
Does anyone know the difference between the regular GB mouthpiece vs. the NY? Thanks!

Re: Greg Black question
NY series are a ever-so-slightly-changed Alessi line. The name was changed because of course Joe switched to Griego, taking his name brand with him.
The NY/Alessi pieces (which are not exactly the same, but close) have a bit wider, slightly rounder rim, different cup profile, different throat and backbore to the regular series. You'll notice the sizing is also different.

Thank you for your response. Do you k ow what the different throat/backbone info is? I’m currently on a 3GS and the NY 3 looks to have the same genera specs (cup diameter, GS style, bore size) but the “k” reamer looks different. Thank you!

I couldn't tell you exactly, but that is a large part of the difference between how the two lines play.
