Hey all,
I have a question regarding the differences between the 93 and the 90. I picked up a 93 recently which plays great but it's just a bit deep for me. Do the 90s have different cup depths compared to the 93? Is the whole cup a bit smaller to fit the smaller rim?

To my eye and face, yes, the 90 is a little shallower.

The 90 may also have a slightly smaller throat.

My 90D has a slightly smaller opening in the cup but seems to open up as much as the 93D does in the shank. Probably a few thou smaller, means a #2 fits a little more snug

As far as I know, the D mouthpieces were all supposed to have a .312" / (5/16") / 7.93mm throat. At least, that is what was published on Laskey's website prior to his passing. However, there can always be variations, and the measurements may have changed over time.
All I know is that when I was trying out Laskey mouthpieces years back, I took one look into a 95D, and almost fell in. That's one massive cup.

The 95D is the same or even a little shallower than the 93D. Mine weighed more than any of my 93s did.
