Rico Rodriguez Take Five notation

Post by robinbid »

Can anyone point me in the direction of the dots for Rico's ska version of Take Five in 4/4? Just the trombone part would be great. Many thanks, Robin

I think I'm getting it by ear, using a slow downer and working out the Gm notes. Surprising what a bit of hard work and patience can do! Now to practice.....

To each his own, I guess... but ugh! Not me.

Such a beautiful track! i thought it's more reggae than ska, unless you mean a different recording.
Maybe transcribing by ear is best (if you're not doing a tribute or want to learn the style, and wish to avoid any possible interpreting creeping in)

the live version is fun!
