Help L.A. Musicians impacted by the fires.

Post by tbdana »

Oh, my. Several L.A. musicians have lost everything. The one I just now heard about was Jeff Clayton. Along with these losses, an incredible amount of music and music history has been destroyed. It's heartbreaking.

If you'd like to help those severely impacted by the fires, the AFofM Local 47 has set up a Musicians Relief Fund that you can donate to. Your generous contribution to the Musicians Relief Fund will help Local 47 members suffering from illness or injury that prevents them from working, or who lack the funds to pay for necessities such as food or rent.

To help your fellow musicians, just click the link below and give what you can.

Thank you.

Thank you for sharing! There's also this spreadsheet with resources, donations of various types, and a depressingly ever growing list of affected musicians and gofundmes.

Having seen this from very far away/Germany this is all really dramatic. Also astonishing how strong nature can still be.

I checked with a few friends in the LA area and luckily those specific persons confirmed they were not directly impacted, at least for now.

I do not have any concrete ideas outside what has been already shared, but if there should be anything creative to do for support, would be glad to participate.

Why am I only seeing about 11 names when I click on the link? Thanks.

Probably the tab you're in- the list of affected musicians is currently 368, but there's a bunch of resource tabs in the sheet, one of which has 11 lines.
