Euph music with “weight”?

Post by RossM »

Hey all! I tried this on the Dave Werden forum, but no luck yet.
I’m trying to find some new repertoire for a recital project- I’m looking for some music for euph that was a similar “weight” as something like the Lebedev Concerto Allegro or the Sulek Sonata.

Any suggestions?

Thanks!

The Lisjak concerto maybe? It's a great piece and definitely "heavier" than a lot of euphonium solo rep.

Libby Larsen's Cri de Cour might be worth a look

Euphonium concerto by Roger May. James Blackford flew in to UK from Australia to play the premiere!
