Hi
Has anyone had the opportunity to compare the Rath mouthpieces of the same size? Are there any differences?
All the best

Re: Rath lightweight v. heavyweight
I have both. I prefer the lightweight as it gives much more feedback, especially up high. My sound is also a little clearer to my ears in the upper register as well.
If I'm playing 2nd I play on the standard weight as the lower register is a little easier and more secure with he added weight. It's also a little easier to blend in with, but that may just be a feedback thing due to the weight. I also use my standard weight MP on euphonium.
Hope this helps.
