Greg Black in Bach slide
I got a greg black in the mail today and was playing around with it. Normally i use a symington 1.5 but ive been wanting something slightly larger. Anyways, the greg black sits so much further down in the lead pipe than my symington or most of my other mouthpieces. I put a griego in and it doesnt sit nearly as far down. Is this just a well worn leadpipe or is this normal? Im wanting to try another size but i really like the rim of the greg black so i want another one

I've found this on some Bach slides, where the leadpipe is reamed out from use. My GBs all fit the same as my other pieces.

My GB’s all fit the same as my other brands (I have 3) also. Notice that the Symington has a slightly longer shank than most - at least the one I have, so it does appear to sit out further.
