What's the Schilke equivalent of a Bach 1 1/2G?

I don't want to go down a mouthpiece rabbit hole, just looking for more power and edge to my sound.

The Schilke rims are a touch narrower than Bach. I prefer it though. If you want something that has a little more flexibility and low range, I find that the Schilkes give that over the Bachs on bass... but that is not an opinion held by everyone for sure. But if you've only ever tried the 1.5, particularly an off brand like that, its deifnitely worth it to try the Schilke out, also in my opinion.

I just bought a Shires 3G off someone who was sellng some other bass pieces at a really good price. If you look through the classifieds you might find it w/o too much effort. The "modern" Shires seres (in contrast with their "vintage") has a variety of depths and iirc they had a set of modern 1.5 Shires available so they may have one with a deeper depth which could also be worth checking out.

There is a George Roberts CE mouthpiece for sale here in the site. It's very nice mouthpiece.
But the answer to your question is Schilke 58

Someone stuck a Schilke 60 mouthpiece in my Duo-Gravis and insisted that I try it years ago. I could blow it ok. People liked it. It sounded slightly darker to me. I like Schilke mouthpieces but I stuck with the Bach 1 1/2G.

I'd try a used 58 and a used Bach 1 1/4G.

Is the 59 significantly bigger than the 58? I tried a Denis Wick Heratige 0AL awhile ago and it was just too big for me.

It is larger. But not as big as a 0AL. That's why I suggest a 1 1/4G as well as a 58.
