Hi, can you help me?
What is the difference between Greg Black mouthpiece weight? What exactly does mean a regular, medium and light weight? And how to determine which type of mouthpiece you have when there are no markings on it?
Thanks for every answer and opinion

In order of mass low to high:
Light
Star
Regular
Medium
Heavy
If it has no markings, it's probably regular weight.

Theres going to be 1000 answers to this, and the vast majority will be subjective, greatly biased towards personal preference. I've done mouthpieces for players who insist they need a light mouthpiece, as well as players who insist on a heavy blank to give them what they need. They're both right.

I’ve played on Greg Black pieces for years and I’ve played all different weights and I’ve had different preferences over the years. They all have their pros and cons but it’s mostly player dependent. If you don’t know much about his pieces and are trying to determine what to try, just order a regular (no marking) weight. FWIW, I started playing Medium weight about 12 years ago and slowly worked down and I strictly play lightweight for the past 6 years.
