Various events from the NZ Band Champs will be livestreamed by the irrepressible media juggernaut www.brassbanned.com , starting tonight (Wednesday) at 7:00pm (NZ Time) with the Invitational Slow Melody.

Here's  their streaming page

Here's the website for the champs

With any luck they will publish a schedule for the band events (not there yet).  Brassbanned will probably publish a schedule on their site first anyway.

Event Times (all New Zealand time)
Champion of Champions event for soloists:  Thurs 7:00pm (?)

Band events:

C (6 bands)   Fri 3:30pm to 5:30pm   Sat 1:30pm to 3:30pm

Youth (1 band)       Fri 3:00pm to 3:30pm

Not having YouTube rebroadcasts is a bummer for those of us on the other side of the World.  I watched as much of the Australian championships as I could last weekend, but at 3 AM (5 PM Australia time) I was ready to fall asleep, so I missed all the evening stuff.  Same thing happened last year for New Zealand.

Good luck to all of you participating.  I'll see what I can.

Hi Bruce
No - I watching from my work desktop at the moment.
The group I play in isn't serious enough to travel to the national contest. One day when I have more time I might do it more seriously.

I have to say, I'm watching some C grade bands that could outplay other countries' B or even A grade bands.  These guys are terrific.

Tay-tay, if you are following, did you play this year?
